RE: Winterizing - Don't forget the LCD TV/s!

Mine never gets out. We usually have some -40 C or F, no problem. However, from what I have read the world is not the same for a plasma!

RE: Skiing and RV-ing in Canada in Winter

You should give some thought to Calgary to Calgary. No drop off fee for the M/H and you have 5 great ski areas that you could do in a circle from Calgary.
Kanaskis( Nakiska), Norquay and Sunshine (Banff), Lake Loise and Marmot Basin (Jasper).
There are also a number of great ski areas south on HWYS 93 & 95 through Radium Hot Springs. You could do this in a circle from Calgary but this adds a lot of klicks!

VIN

Hello:
Some time ago there was a thread that identified the components of the VIN. That is, a glossary that identified the meaning of each of the digits or groups of digits that make up a VIN. I have searched to no avail. If any one remembers or has this information I would sure appreciate your sharing.
Thanks;
Vic
ps: belated Happy Thanks Giving to youall

RE: 30amp / 50amp

A rig that is configured for 30 amp service will only connect to a 30 amp supply and similarily for 50 amp. The plug configurations are very different and will not connect to the wrong power service. The 15 amp service is different again.

RE: Costco now carries Pressure Pro

System does not have temperature sensor and readout! What's your point?
Only half a system. Temperature is as important as pressure!
Vic
It might be "half a system" but for the price its pressure function is worth it. It is user servicable without removing the tire and Smarttire, which is the only temp and pressure system I am aware of, costs almost three times as much installed.
Temperature is important but air pressure comes first and an increase in temperature will be somewhat reflective in an increasing pressure reading. I will forego a temp reading anyday if I have a pressure reading and I am saving a chunk of dough.

RE: poached eggs

Ceramic ramekin with about a teaspoon of water in a pan of boiling water works pretty well also.

PROBABLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! safe. However, blowing out the lines takes a lot less time than REPLACING them. That is the bet here.

RE: Built-in Vacuum Cleaners

Installed a Dirt Devil 4 years ago. No problems with operation and also have had no problem with getting bags for it. The was the 2nd best mod. The first was the departure of the carpet.

RE: Winterizing

Go to Wal Mart and buy a screw cap cover for your shore water fill. Also buy a tire valve stem. Take the stem out of the tire valve. Drill a hole in the cap slightly smaller than the valve stem and insert the valve stem. You now have the tool you are looking for for a couple of bucks. The valve stem comes out so that you can release the presser on the system by simply disconnecting the air source.
That's alot of work when you can buy it already made for under 2 bucks

We are not "blessed" with CW. Simpler to make than chase all over the country side to find one.

RE: Proper purchasing procedure question.(this Friday)

I think I would be doing some investigation relative to this hydraulic valve that has apparently failed. Is failure of this component a common issue? May be a problem that you don't want to have!

In fact disconnect from the tap body and leave disconnected until spring. Use a twist tie to secure the washer. Don't forget to bl;ow out the water valve in the toilet as well. If you have a ice or water dispensing fridge, there needs to be some winterizing there as well. As previously stated, don't exceed 40 psi. You can also use the compressor to blow out the traps in the sinks and shower.
